Gloucestershire Police Authority is managed by Andy Champness, the Chief Executive and a Barrister, and staffed by Diane Dungey, Deputy Chief Executive; Sarah Stanley, Administrative Officer and Custody Visitor Scheme Adminstrator; Ali Wilde, Committee Services Officer; and Sandra Pring, Clerical Officer. The Authority office is at Pate Court in central Cheltenham. The Authority Treasurer, David Bennett, is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester.

The Chief Executive provides strategic and policy advice to Members of the Authority and ensures the Authority fulfills its statutory role. Andy is also the Authority's Monitoring Officer.

The Treasurer to the Authority is employed by Gloucestershire County Council and provides Treasury Services to the Authority under a Service Level Agreement.

The Deputy Chief Executive manages the Authority office and staff and supports and deputises for the Chief Executive. Diane also researches and drafts Authority papers and reports, including reports on Force performance issues, and takes a lead on Equality Scheme issues. Diane is the Deputy Monitoring Officer for the Authority.

The Administrative Officer is responsible for the smooth running of the Authority's Custody Visitor Scheme and coordinates the appointment and work of the 17 Police and Community Consultative Coordinators. Sarah also prepares papers and agendas for, and minutes, specific Authority Committees.

The Committee Services Officer is responsible for the administration of the Authority's Committee Structure, ensures agendas and papers are prepared and sent out in a timely fashion and also takes minutes at Authority meetings.

The Clerical Officer provides administrative support to Members and Officers of the Authority.
