Community Engagement

Listening to Local People

It is important to the Authority to obtain the views of a wide range of people, including people from diverse backgrounds and all sectors of society. As part of this, we hold public meetings across the county in order to improve links with local communities and to identify and address areas of concern.

Meetings take place around four times a year in each of the Constabulary's 17 policing areas and are attended by a team of local officers, led by an Inspector and Chaired by a member of the Police Authority. To assist with identifying which policing area you live in please click here

During 2009 a total of 1237 people attended the Authority's public engagement meetings, held across Gloucestershire to discuss local policing issues.

You may Download public meeting dates . If there is no date set for your area, usually because a meeting has just taken place, please contact the Authority office for more information at samgibbs@glos-pa.gov.uk
