Listening to Local People

It is important to the Authority to obtain the views of a wide range of people, including people from diverse backgrounds and all sectors of society. As part of this, we hold public meetings across the county in order to improve links with local communities and to identify and address areas of concern. We also attend a variety of existing community events so we can chat to people who may not ordinarily have the time to attend one of our meetings.

During 2010 around 1800 people attended the Authority's public engagement meetings and events, held across Gloucestershire to discuss local policing issues.

Public meeting dates as well as other community events that we will be attending in 2011 will be available soon. If there is no date set for your area, usually because a meeting has just taken place, please contact our Community Engagement Officer for more information here
